Dambi Dollo University (DaDU), situated in the stunning landscapes of Ethiopia, is recognized as one of the prominent Fourth Generation Universities in the nation. The groundwork for the establishment of DaDU was initiated on December 1, 2007 E.C., under the auspices of Muktar Kedir, the then President of the Oromia Regional State, alongside Dr. Keba Urgessa from the State Ministry of Education. The university received formal acknowledgment from the Ministry of Education in December 2008, as indicated in proclamation number 351/2008. Following a three-year construction period, the university was officially inaugurated in June 2010 E.C.
DaDU is located in the picturesque Qellem Wallaggaa Zone within the Oromia Regional State, approximately 556 kilometers from Ethiopia's vibrant capital, Addis Ababa/Finfinnee.
