About us:
The Department
of Automobile Engineering was established in the year 2010. Keeping in view of
the demand for automobile engineers the department has a vision to enrich the
knowledge of students and update the latest technology of automobile engineering.
The department has a team of highly-qualified and well-experienced faculty and
staff members of proven ability and administrative skills. With the focus on understanding the latest
available IC and electric vehicle technology, the college has authorized
service technician training centres of Ashok Leyland and Eicher Motors, and
labs that are equipped with dynamic cut sections of 6-stroke engines complying
with Bharat 6 emission norms. With this specialization, students learn electric
vehicle technology (two, three, and four wheels) through simulation and
assembly, and complete vehicle diagnostics using Bosch tools through robust
industry partnerships.
To develop competent, disciplined imaginative Automobile engineers, equipped with core competency and technical skills useful to the learning / teaching community and the industrial fraternity.
M1: To provide
the students with operational and technical inputs to get innovative and
research ideas in the field of automotive engineering.
M2: To give
inputs for higher education with management qualities for the betterment of the
society.
M3: Skilling
with modern engineering tools necessary to meet and solve engineering problems.
Programme Outcomes:
PO1- Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
PO2-Problem
analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using
codified standard methods.
PO3- Design/
development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems
and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified
needs.
PO4-Engineering Tools, Experimentation and
Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct
standard tests and measurements.
PO5-Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
PO6-Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
PO7-Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
